    Rainfall:20-50 inches. In areas with less than 35 inches rainfall, corn should be irrigated to maximize yield

  • Feb 15 to Apr 15 (For grain and silage)
  • June - July (second planting or late planting for silage; usually is BT corn)
  • Planting Depth:1 to 1 1/2 inches
    Seeding Rate:25,000 seed/acres
    Seed Cost:$50 to 60/acre

    Production:10 to 25 tons/acre (silage at 35% DM) and 80 to 225 bu/acre for grain. High yields on both cases woulb be with irrigation in most cases.
