    Growth Habit:2-5 feet tall; growing in pure strands, forming dense colonies; large grass-like blades. Long, rarely found panicle. Reproduces by rhizomes.

    Origin:Native to Florida
    Production Season:Major growth periods from February to May-June.
    Seldom produces seed.
    Nutritive Value:Very palatable.
    Use:Grazing, wildlife habitat (nesting)
