Who May Apply

Students wishing to enroll in the Agroecology concentration should have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in agronomy or soil science or an equivalent degree in an allied field such as horticulture, entomology, agricultural or environmental engineering, natural resources or ecology.

Application Procedure

  • Step 1: Apply to the UF Graduate School
  • Step 2: Select either the Agronomy or Soil & Water Science Departments as your degree department
  • Please note departmental deadlines do not apply to the Agroecology concentration. However, application deadline for Agroecology concentration is:
  • July 1 for Fall Admission
  • November 1 for Spring Admission
  • Step 3: In the application, designate Agroecology as the Specialization
  • Step 4: After successful admission, your Advisory Committee will be formed
  • Step 5: Develop a plan of study to be approved by your Advisory Committee
