Research Focus
Research focuses on three areas of forage genetic improvement:
- genetic enhancement and germplasm evaluation of cool season legumes with emphasis on southern U.S. adapted red, crimson, and other clover species
- applications of tissue culture selection and molecular genetic transformation techniques in forages to develop transgenic lines containing desirable traits
- germplasm evaluation and genetic enhancement of tropical forages in the genera Arachis, Desmodium, and Paspalum
