Dr. Kenneth Cassman to Visit University of Florida
The Agronomy and Soil and Water Science Departments are pleased to host a visit to the UF campus by Dr. Kenneth Cassman, Professor and Director of the Nebraska Center for Energy Sciences Research. Dr. Cassman is an international leader in agronomy and soil science and his recent work on the use of crops as sources of bioenergy has gained broad international attention.
Dr. Cassman will be on campus March 5-6 and will present the following two lectures:
Biofuels, Global Food Security, Land-Use Change
Wednesday, March 5, 4:00 p.m. (G186 McCarty Hall A)
Trends in Crop Yield Potential and Ecological Intensification of Agriculture
Thursday, March 6, 4:00 p.m. (G186, McCarty Hall A)
Agronomy Graduate Seminar
The topics of these lectures should be of interest to many on the UF campus. Dr. Cassman will also be meeting with several classes and will be available for small group meetings with students and faculty during his visit to campus.
