Katarzyna A. Gawron
Biological Scientist II, Weed Sciences Field Building
Katarzyna 'Kate' Gawron has been the Biological Scientist II in the Agronomy Department at the University of Florida since April 2023. Her current scientific interests are related to weed management in a variety of settings with the emhpasis on turfgrass scenarios. She works directly with Dr. Petelewicz and Dr. MacDonald and she supports day-to-day operations in their programs including the management of field, greenhouse and laboratory research and extension activities.
Kate was born and raised in Poland. She received her B.S. in Environmental Protection and Managment in 2023 from Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Poland. Although currently she is focused on research, she wishes to continue her education and pursue an MS degree.
