Mikerly Joseph has been a Graduate Assistant in the Agronomy Department at the University of Florida (UF), Gainesville, since May 2023. He pursues his Ph.D. degree under Dr. Petelewicz's supervision. His current projects are related to the improvement of goosegrass management strategies and the development of a machine vision-based real-time weed recognition system for precise herbicide applications in turfgrass settings.
He received his B.S. degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of State of Haiti in 2019. Following this, from November 2019 to May 2020, he was a Research Intern in Dr. Hardev Sandhu's Program at UF/IFAS Everglades Research and Education Center. Later, he received his M.S. degree in Crop Soil and Environmental Science with the emphasis on Weed Science and minor in Statistics from Auburn University in 2023.
