Dr. Pawel Petelewicz
Assistant Professor, Weed Sciences Field Building
Pawel Petelewicz has been the Assistant Professor in the Agronomy Department at the University of Florida (UF), Gainesville since the April of 2021. His primary responsibilities include conducting research related to weed management in various turfgrass settings and providing outreach to the Florida turfgrass industry.
Pawel was born and raised in Poland. He received his B.S. and M.S. Degrees in Horticulture in 2011 and 2012, respectively, as well as Ph.D. in Agriculture in 2016, all from Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland. Immediately prior to his current position - from 2017 to 2021 he was a Postdoctoral Researcher in Turfgrass Sciences at the University of California, Riverside (UCR).
