Weed Ecology and Resilient Inter-Cropping Systems

Dr. Burton directs the Southwest Florida Research and Education Center (SWFREC) in Immokalee. He leads a diverse faculty, staff and student community that works to assure the profitability and sustainability of citrus and fruit/vegetable production in southwest Florida. SWFREC’s scientists and students develop evidence-based recommendations to guide decisions on soil fertility, conservation, economics, precision agriculture, and pest management.
