Dr. Ben Sperry

Assistant Research Scientist, Aquatic and Invasive Plants

Dr. Sperry received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the UF College of Agricultural and Life Sciences in plant science and weed science, respectively, and earned his Ph.D. in weed science from Mississippi State University. His research program specializes in the following topics as they related to aquatic and invasive plant management: herbicide application technology and off-target movement, herbicide environmental fate, and integrated plant management. His research program specializes in optimizing existing technologies and developing new technologies and herbicide use-patterns in aquatic and invasive plant management through multi-scaled research. His extension program is focused on providing aquatic and invasive plant managers throughout the country with the latest information about management technologies.
